Ryan Magner is a 26-year-old Milwaukee native who is coming back onto the music scene after a five-year hiatus moving back home from New York. His sound is influenced by the voices of Kurt Cobain, the musical ingeniousness of the Beatles, and the raw lyrical agility of Stone Temple Pilots. He was a former member of the band, Habitat, but after the band decided to part ways he lost the inspiration for making and writing music. However, the passion has come back stronger than ever! About a year ago Magner started writing and playing again, and now finds himself in the midst of supporting his debut solo album "The Light". All of Magner's music is original material encompassing his own original style, and reflect his journey as an emerging musical artist. He uses a wide variety of sounds from bongo drums, whistles, piano, acoustic guitar, and even a slide guitar to experiment with the feel of his music to create a statement in his songs.
