As a guitarist and songwriter Robbie Fulks has built a versatile repertoire of country music with layers of jazz, experimental and bluegrass. Since 1996 he has produced 10 solo releases and his 11th, Gone Away Backward, is set for release in early 2013.
Fulks has been performing with multi-instrumentalist Robbie Gjersoe (Flatlanders, Greencards, Jerry Jeff Walker, Paul Cebar) since 1990. With Beau Sample -- string bassist for Deke Dickerson, Hot Club of Cowtown, and many others -- they are the Pussycat Trio. The trio takes on a mix of mid-century American material (swing, bluegrass, R&B, experimental) along with a broad selection of titles from Fulks's recorded catalog of original country music.
